Update to all: I have been unemployed since the day after thanks giving…I have also been looking for a job since a month prior to that (trying to get out of the job I had). I have had two promising interviews one of which turned me down for the job and the other I am waiting to hear back from (interviewed three days ago).

I just placed an order for an axe.
It’s a Wetterlings 26” Forest Axe and it’s magnificent.
I called the dealer and made sure they hand picked one with straight grain and a good edge because these puppies are hand forged the old fashioned way in Sweden.

New Toy
A few days ago I purchased a car for $650. 1980 Toyota Corolla Wagon with tons of charm.
It’s not without it’s problems, namely rust, but it runs great and has only 97,000 miles on it though you wouldn’t know it to look at it. Currently it needs brake work which I have ordered parts for and will do this week. Once the brakes are fixed and I make sure all the important bits...

The date on Thursday went as well as anyone could have hoped. Kacy is two thumbs up on all accounts so far and does a good job keeping me on my toes. I’m planning my next journey. This time I will be heading south into Florida, all the way to the bottom tip of the state.
